Mansfield and Galion to receive State funds for Public Safety Services

The cities of Mansfield and Galion are among those receiving state funds for public safety services. Mansfield will be getting $66,905 for Hazmat Equipment, while Galion is set to receive $150,000 for an Ambulance.

The Ohio Development Services Agency awarded 49 grants totaling $10 million to help local communities across the state enhance public safety and cut costs.

This is the second round of awards for the Local Government Safety Capital Grant Program, which provides grants for the purchase of vehicles, equipment, facilities, or systems needed to enhance public safety.

“Communities are working together to improve their safety services, and save taxpayers money,” said David Goodman, director of the Ohio Development Services Agency.
