Mansfield City School Health Insurance Move Could Save District Money

The Mansfield City School Board this week voted to withdrawal from the Ohio Schools Benefits Cooperative for its health insurance for district employees. The Board will now enter directly with Medical Mutual of Ohio for its insurance. The Mansfield City Schools has been with Medical Mutual for the last 20 years, but has also been with the Ohio Schools Benefits Cooperative for the last 5 years. The district believes it could save around $500,000 with the move, which will go into effect on January 1st of 2019.
