Investors Buy $56 Million In Lexington School Bonds In 90 minutes

Lexington Schools Superintendent Michael Ziegelhofer said last week the district held a bond sale as it prepares to build two new buildings. During the sale,investors bought all of the near $56 million in bonds in less than 90 minutes.

This will save residents of the school district around 28 million. Ziegelhofer had two words - unbelievable and historic.

The new schools will be built right behind where the current high school stands, where the baseball and soccer fields are now, those will also be relocated. If everything goes according to plan dirt could be moved around for the two new facilities by the spring of 2021.
