Mansfield City Council Approves New Downtown Crosswalk

Mansfield City Council approved on Tuesday, a new Fourth Street mid-block crosswalk. According to Richlandsource.com, The project, between Main and Diamond streets, was recommended as a way to make the area more pedestrian friendly by the Downtown Improvement Advisory Board. The funds for the project will come from Mansfield’s downtown improvements fund created when voters approved a $5 license increase in 2018. Bricks that were salvaged four years ago when Mansfield eliminated its last brick road will be used in a new Fourth Street mid-block crosswalk.
