A group of close to 80 teachers from the Lexington Teachers Association gathered in downtown Lexington on the square this week to protest for a fair contract with the board of education, according to RichlandSource.com
Patrick Cannon, who is the President of the Lexington Teachers Association, said their 3 year contract expired back on August 31st.Cannon feels a deal soon could be worked out with the union and school board.
