Rising Costs Show Sales Tax Revenue Slowing Down In Richland County

Sales tax revenue in Richland County is continuing to slow down, according to RichlandSource.com.  Record gas prices and rising inflation is starting to show people are spending less money and watching their budget.

Commissioner Tony Vero saying that people are going to spend on necessities and that discretionary spending has stopped.

County Auditor Pat Dropsey, who warned the Commissioners about rising inflation back in November, said revenues are pretty much in line with the budget.
