The Lucas Cubs season came to an end on Friday night in the Division IV, District Final at Willard High School. Col. Crawford beat Lucas 59-49 and claimed their 2nd straight District Title. Lucas led the game 12-7 after the 1st quarter, but the Eagles outscored Lucas in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, 28-15, to grab the lead and will advance to the Regional tournament in Canton on Tuesday. Lucas, who ends a great year at 21-5, was led in scoring by Logan Toms with 14 points, Andrew Smollen had 13 pts and Corbin Toms added in 9. Col. Crawford (18-7) was led by Braxton Baker with 22 pts, but had 4 players score in double figures. Jacob Maddy had 13, while Trevor Vote and Derek Horsley each chipped in 10.
