Ashland’s UH Samaritan hospital will no longer deliver babies, according to RichlandSource.com.
The hospital, which has been delivering babies since 1912, says the reason is due to declining birth rates and staff shortages. The change will go into effect on August 8th. UH Samaritan had just over 300 births 5 years ago and are project around 182 this year.
