Former AU Football Coach, Lee Owens, To Be Inducted Into High School HOF

Former Ashland University Football coach, Lee Owens, is going into the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Owens, who spent 19 years at AU, and had winning percentage of close to 70%, along with 4 conference titles and 6 playoff appearances, actually coached 11 years at the high school level.

Owens coached locally for Crestview and Galion, also spent time at Lancaster and Massillon Washington.

Lee Owens led Galion to the state title back in 1985, which is the area's only state championship in football.
