NWS Confirms Tornado Touched Down In Marion, Holmes County

The National Weather Service is reporting a tornado did touch down in Marion County, near the village of LaRue, on Saturday afternoon.

It was an EF-1 Tornado, which touched down briefly, just south of State Route 309 and the intersection of Dry Lane Road.  Part of a roof was torn off a building, while a few trees were also damaged. Wind speeds were estimated to be around 90MPH during the storm around 1 pm.
