I’m the youngest voice heard on WMAN. They call me a utility man.
I board operate the sports games you hear through the week, host " The WMAN Sports Grill " as we talk local and Ohio sports each night from 6 - 8 p.m. , and I fill in for the other full time staff when needed. Our production director calls on me when he’s on vacation to take on all of his production duties. In addition to that, I help our sister station Y-105 from time to time.
Besides being in the studio…you can hear me every fall during high school football season calling play by play or adding some colorful commentary. In the winter, I’ll put my two cents in with high school basketball.
Before this great opportunity with WMAN in 2006, I was with the Clear Channel stations in Marion for 4 years.
Outside of radio, I currently reside in Ontario with my wife and our cat.
Phil Dawson, who spent 14 years kicking for the Cleveland Browns, signed a one year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday.
Dawson, who is 38 years old, has played his entire NFL career in Cleveland. He was the only player left on the Browns roster from when the team returned to the league in 1999.
Dawson only missed two field goals all of last season (29 of 31). Reports say he will make $2.25 Million this season.
