I’m the youngest voice heard on WMAN. They call me a utility man.
I board operate the sports games you hear through the week, host " The WMAN Sports Grill " as we talk local and Ohio sports each night from 6 - 8 p.m. , and I fill in for the other full time staff when needed. Our production director calls on me when he’s on vacation to take on all of his production duties. In addition to that, I help our sister station Y-105 from time to time.
Besides being in the studio…you can hear me every fall during high school football season calling play by play or adding some colorful commentary. In the winter, I’ll put my two cents in with high school basketball.
Before this great opportunity with WMAN in 2006, I was with the Clear Channel stations in Marion for 4 years.
Outside of radio, I currently reside in Ontario with my wife and our cat.
The Cleveland Indians, who last made the playoffs in 2007 and went to the ALCS, would be in the postseason if the regular season ended today, but there is still one week left.
The Tribe (86-70) will enter Tuesday night in the 2nd Wildcard spot, one game behind Tampa Bay (87-69), who is in the top Wildcard spot.
The Indians play their final 2 home games on Tuesday and Wednesday against the White Sox, and then play the final four games of the season at Minnesota starting on Thursday night.
The Tribe has a 1.5 game lead on Texas ( entering play on Monday), 3.5 on the Royals, 4 on the Yankees and 5 on Baltimore.
Terry Francona has done a great job this year and has a good chance at winning the AL Manager of the year award. Getting the Tribe into October could make that happen and the way the Indians have played the past 6 months, has to make Tribe fans excited for 2014.......But let's not talk about "Next Year" just yet.
Tuesday, Sept. 24th - White Sox at Indians - 7:05 pm on WMAN
