A little about me
Ok, so how does a guy from Kentucky get to Ohio and end up working in radio? Good question and we may cover that at a later date. But for now, please know that as I approach 21 years in Mansfield radio, I appreciate all that it has offered to all of us. What a cool ride it has been. Thanks for being apart of it all.

Let's get you all up to speed here and now starting on the family side of things. My 3 boys are all grown men from 23 to 29 years of age. Some wrapping up college and others working their way thru. Remember the days of "Dad I need lunch money for school". That will go from about 1.25 to $32,000.00 in a moment. My wife Julie and I will celebrate our 28th anninversary in June. She will always be my best friend.

So, how many have wondered when I would start talking about fishing...........we may cover that at a later date..........just kidding. Tournament bass fishing is my second love in life. I have been fishing these events for 28 years and must say I am very good at the game. Easy to say that, but I do have the hardware to back it up. My buddies with the Clearfork Valley Bassmasters are the best at the game too and I love hanging out and fishing with them. For some reason I have been there President for 12 years. Cool being the boss.....at times. My season begins in April and runs thru October. I'll keep you abreast on how I do this year.

Alright now, I don't get paid to write, so keep listening and check back now and then. Should be a fun summer and let's hope you enjoy all of yours.

You didn't think Spring was going to go by without sharing another fish picture did you? This 4 pound Bass was caught at Lake Erie in West Harbor while on vacation. My Bass tournaments are in full swing and I am doing very good. We have fished 4 club events and I have won 2 of them. I also was in a Open event at Delaware Lake a couple weeks ago with my buddy heath Mullins and we won that one. Hope you enjoy wetting a line this summer too.

1st Bass of 2010
Monday 04-19-2010 12:11pm ET

Finally, after a long winter, I got a chance to hit the water for some bass fishing. I spent Sunday at East Harbor, off of Lake Erie, with my friend Heath Mullins. His picture is below. We hit the lake about 9am and wrapped up our trip at 2pm. It was somewhat of a slow day, but when the sun came out it was game on for a bit. I ended up cathing 8 bass with 4 of them in the 3 pound range. Don't forget to get your fishing license and enjoy your next fishing trip. I'll put more pictures of mine on my page as summer goes.

And The Winners Are?
Monday 04-19-2010 12:02pm ET

Time to send a shout out to the winners. This is Mack Hammrick & Bruce Uhl. They just won 1st place in the Clearfork Bassmasters 37th Annual Pleasant Hill open. They had 5 fish limit and weight of 9.37#. The guys also had big bass of the event at 3.93#. For a cold spring day on the lake, they grabbed 1st place and a check for $760.00 for the effort. Congrats!! Our next open to the public bass tournament is on May 23rd at Clearfork. Give me a holler if you would like info on how to enter the tournament.
